NORTHWEST GAUL. Carnutes. Late 2nd century BC. Quarter Stater (Gold, 11 mm, 2.06 g, 10 h), 'au griffon ailé' type. Celticized head of Apollo to right. Rev. Griffin (?) to right; below, annulet. DT 2516. LT -. Rare. Struck from worn dies and with a few scuffs, otherwise, about very fine.
